Learning Assembly – Dr Josh Storechein

So this is a tricky one. For years I was literally terrified of Assembly and OS internals; and don’t get me wrong, it’s not the easiest thing to learn, but on these specific case, it really is all about how and with who you are learning.

As part of our work we constantly need to learn to develop our skills so that we can keep up with this cat and mouse game we play with threat actors.

Dr Josh Storechein has a YouTube channel with many cyber security related courses (free of charge), including reverse engineering, assembly language, malware analysis, C++ and more. I would highly recommend starting with the assembly course, “learning assembly”, because I believe that it is a the crucial foundation you need to have before turning to C++, malware analysis, and of course, reverse engineering.

All of Dr Storechein’s courses on his YT channel are great to be honest and I am sure you will find great value no matter which one you pick. I’m attaching the playlist here for a taste.
